We celebrated the New Year by
heading off to the newly opened Emirates Mall in Dubai. The Emirates Mall is ow
ordinary shopping center however... it comes with all the requisite aspects of
a shopping center... a food court, big chain stores, and .... a ski resort!
Anyway, it's quite unbelievable, being able to ski when it's almost 50 degrees
celsius outside. However, if there's one place you could do such a thing then
it would have to be Dubai..
I used to go skiing quite a bit in
California at Lake Tahoe so I was curious to see what skiing would be like
indoors. I was pleasantly surprised. Ski Dubai is an excellent place to learn
to ski. The conditions couldn't possibly be better. There's no wind, it never
gets too cold and it's relatively inexpensive. Two hours cost about $35 at the
