J Neo Marvin & the Content Providers Alan Korn's BBQ 7/12/03
The great thing about rock n' roll is that it knows no geographical boundaries. Bands (often when they begin to lose their fan bases back home) look elsewhere to take their career a step further. Call it globalization, call it liberation, call it what you want... we just simply call it rock n' roll. After the failure to sell out the Hotel Utah... it was time to take our music out of town to, erm .... Walnut Creek of all places. Nevertheless: "Fiscal Year Zero" had just (apparently) knocked Christina Aguilera off the charts in "le crique de noix" and it is also where our bass player, Alan Korn, lives. It was he who threw a wonderful BBQ and invited us to be joined by Djembe Dave and Jeremy from Electric Color Wheel to provide some entertainment. We ripped through an intense 90 minute set that included songs off of both What is Truth? and Slowly I Turned.
Above: Neo sings, "Are we still anarchists when we're playing a gig in Walnut Creek??!!".
Left: Alan, blatantly, replies "N.O.!!!!!"

Content Providers: Dave "Djembe" Coan (percussion), Jeremy Hanberry (percussion), Davis Jones (keyboards, vocals), Alan Korn (bass), J Neo Marvin (vocals, guitar), Glenn Stevens (lead guitar)
