Ali to Climb Mt. Everest - March 1,
2006
Our mate Ali Bushnaq has confirmed that he will be taking part
in the Everest Peace Project in April. Ali, a Palestinian Jordanian will
attempt to climb Mt. Everest along with two Israelis. Several other climbers
from other various conflicting nations will also take part. Ali's been training
hard, climbing California's Mt. Shasta and Tanzania's Kilimanjaro in an attempt
to be ready for the event. Anyway, for more information check out the official
Everest Peace Project website: www.everestpeaceproject.org |

Terry Fox Run - February 17,
2006
We paid our contribution to cancer research by running the annual 8
km Terry Fox run along Abu Dhabi's newly finished Corniche. The run takes place
every year in over 50 countries worldwide. Runners are expected to make a small
contribution to participate and all donations go to cancer research. You don't
have to necessarily run - you can walk, bicycle, or even wheel-chair it.
Apparently the UAE ranks 5th in cash raised for the event. I think the official
participation estimate in Abu Dhabi was 7,000 runners! Good job guys! Check out
the TF website for more info:

Ski Dubai - January 1,
2006
We celebrated the New Year by heading off to the newly
opened Emirates Mall in Dubai. The Emirates Mall is no ordinary shopping center
however... it comes with all the requisite aspects of a shopping center... a
food court, big chain stores, and .... a ski resort! Anyway, it's quite
unbelievable, being able to ski when it's almost 50 degrees Celsius outside.
However, if there's one place you could do such a thing then it would have to
be Dubai. Check out the pictures. |

These are pictures I took from the UAE vs. Brazil
match at Sheikh Zayed Sports Complex in Abu Dhabi last November. Brazil brought
all of their superstars - with the exception of Ronaldo, who was out injured. I
went with my Korean friend Richard as Brazil ran out 8-0 winners. Click on the
picture to the left or the title bar above to see the
pictures. |
